The biggest hurdle I have in integrating technology is the lack of accountability my students have. Many of my students will not complete a simple survey on SurveyMonkey. I have created reviews for for vocabulary quizzes and tests. It is obvious who is taking advantage of these. It can be disheartening to create something to help students and have them basically reject my effort.
My hope is that as teachers start incorporating more technology, students will develop a sense of accountability. If students know the expectations and are comfortable with them, it may make a difference. I still believe that if I continue to incorporate technology, my students will eventually respond.
